Every race in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica series is always a major test for the Hadeca Racing team drivers. Saturday’s race at Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto was no exception. Despite the various incidents, Hadeca Racing still recorded new achievements.
The most serious problem befell Colombian Juan Pablo Vega, who on the first lap on a muddy part of the track turned around and lost half a minute. After that he attacked the whole race and was able to finish seventh overall. In addition, he also finished fourth in two standings, the Grupo 992 and the Grupo 992 Classe AM category.
Ukrainian Oleksandr Dobik continues to dominate all his rivals in the GD standings with his eighth win in nine starts. In addition, he finished eighth in the overall standings – thanks to this, in the second race on Sunday, two Hadeca Racing drivers will start from the first line of the grid (Oleksandr Dobik first, Juan Pablo Vega second).
The most successful and efficient in Hadeca Racing today was the Ukrainian Yury Protasov. He finished third in the overall race and was second in the AM category. Most importantly, he achieved a double victory – in both Grupo 992 and Grupo 992 Classe AM. He also received a bonus point for the fastest lap in both the group and class. Thanks to this Protasov significantly reduced the gap to leader Jorge Ramirez – in Grupo 992 the points score is 170:177, in Grupo 992 Classe AM the score is 171:180.
