The sixth and final round of the international regional series Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica is scheduled for November 8-10. The Hadeca Racing Team will compete for two titles at the famous Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya race track.

This autodrome has been a premier circuit in Spain for over thirty years – it has hosted the Formula 1 race, the Gran Premio de España (1991-2024) for 34 consecutive years! Interestingly, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya was inaugurated on September 10, 1991, and already on September 27-29, 1991 it hosted the Gran Premio de España, a round of the Formula One World Championship.

Over the three decades, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has undergone several modernizations (some corners have been changed), but the basic configuration has remained unchanged. There are now two racetrack configurations proposed for the event from 2021 – without chicane (lap length 4.657 km) and with chicane (lap length 4.675 km). The main feature of the track is a lot of straight sections that interchange with fast and slow turns. Especially famous is the 1 km long start/finish straight.

This track holds two track records for Porsche Carrera Cup cars (because of the chicane in the penultimate corner, the times differ by more than five seconds):
Grand Prix Circuit without Chicane – 1:44.109 (average speed 161.065 km/h)
Grand Prix Circuit with Chicane – 1:49.608 (average speed 153.547 km/h)
