Sunday’s race at Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto brought new challenges and new successes for the Hadeca Racing team. This is already a tradition – each round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica consistently brings the team a various adventures and difficulties to overcome.

On Sunday, the greatest success was achieved by Colombian Juan Pablo Vega, who fought the whole race for the overall victory with the PRO-AM category leader and after 17 laps (or 75.276 km of distance) finished with a minimum gap of only +0.924s! As a result, Hadeca Racing takes its third consecutive race win in both the Grupo 992 and the Grupo 992 Classe AM classification.

For Ukrainian Yury Protasov, Sunday’s race was a huge trial with no possibility for mistakes. Start from the sixth position, hard fight with risky attacks, finish on the fifth position in the overall race standings. This allowed the Ukrainian driver to also finish third in both the Grupo 992 and Grupo 992 Classe AM classification. This result was another step forward in the fight for the titles in both of these standings.

It was a difficult day also for another Ukrainian, Oleksandr Dobik, who claimed another victory in his GD category. However, after a racing incident in the first half of the course (contact with cars in a turn) Dobik lost more than 20 seconds and had to eliminate this huge gap. And he almost succeeded – he finished second in the GD standings and was only 0.215s behind the winner!

According to provisional calculations, Hadeca Racing team drivers now hold the current positions in the Grupo 992 classification – Protasov second (187 points), Vega third (167 points), Dobik fourth (137 points). In the Grupo 992 Classe AM ranking Protasov is second (188 points), Vega is third (169 points).
