The second round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica 2024 is scheduled for June 7-9 in Portimão, Portugal.

The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is one of the relatively new autodromes in Europe. Its construction started in early 2008, and in November this year the track hosted its first race – the final round of the World Superbike Championship. Within 15 years Autódromo Internacional do Algarve has hosted various international series, including the Grande Prémio de Portugal (Formula One World Championship round) in 2020-2021.

The configuration of the Portimão circuit is a bit like its “big brother” in Estoril (Circuito do Estoril). The total length of the circuit is 4.653 km. Almost a third of this distance is made up of two long straight fragments – the start-finish straight (950 m) plus the section between turns 4 and 5 (440 m). An additional characteristic of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is lots of tight and slow turns, lots of elevation changes.
