The second race at the Autódromo do Estoril was a complete disappointment for the Hadeca Racing team, many other competitors and all the spectators. It was also a clear example of how incorrect behaviour on the track, even by one driver, can completely destroy the whole race….

In the second race, the starting grid is formed according to the results of the first race, but with one correction – the top eight drivers start in reverse order. Thus, Oleksandr Dobik (finished eighth overall in the first race) had to start from the first position. Yuriy Protasov (fourth position in the first race) was to start fifth. All this promised a very interesting race on Sunday.

However, the race was ruined from the very first minutes. The first attempt to start almost immediately led to a collision, in which Dobik suffered – he received several hits in the rear bumper, found himself off the track. He was able to continue the race, but already at the beginning of the distance he was losing a whole lap. The organizers had to send a safety-car onto the track.

A second restart a few minutes later immediately ended in another big collision. Yuriy Protasov on the start-finish straight line, when the light turned green, at a speed of more than 200 km/h also got hit in the rear part of his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Fortunately, the Ukrainian driver managed to get out of the dangerous trajectory, which helped to avoid a massive crash. But for Hadeca Racing, the race was completely ruined….

The whole race was completely wrecked – for at least three quarters of the distance all the surviving competitors were just driving at low speed behind the safety car. Another restart took place only on the final lap – that is, during the whole race (28 minutes + 1 lap) only a few minutes it was possible to see some battle on the track.
