This weekend at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão brought many achievements and new records for the Hadeca Racing team in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica series. Sunday’s second round of the PSCI started with Yury Protasov being the fastest in the morning Warm Up, with his teammate Oleksandr Dobik taking the sixth time.

In the afternoon Race 2 started with a hard and risky battle for the leading positions, in which both Hadeca Racing drivers took part – Oleksandr Dobik had the second starting position and Yury Protasov the fourth. It was not without an incident in the first corners, when Dobik suffered (contact with a rival and going off the track). But the Ukrainian driver returned to the track, fought the whole distance and moved up to the eighth position in the overall race standings! In addition, Oleksandr Dobik won his second consecutive victory in the GD (or Gentleman Driver) category – like yesterday at Race 1, he was almost a minute ahead of the runner-up!

Yury Protasov took a spectacular revenge today after yesterday’s problems that moved him from third to fifth position in the overall standings at the finish of Race 1. In today’s Race 2 Protasov quickly moved into the lead group, confidently controlled the situation on the track and finished second overall – a new record for both the driver and Hadeca Racing! In addition, Protasov picked up a double win in two classifications – the AM (Amateurs) category and the 992 class.
